It was held within the framework of XVII Economic forum (Krynica Zdroj, Poland, on September, 5-8, 2007)

At XVII Economic forum (Krynica Zdroj, Poland, on September, 5-8, 2007) director of scientific programs of the Kazan Institute of Federalism R.S.Khakimov has acted in a role of a moderator of a seminar The Islamic community in Europe and Russia.

In work of a seminar have taken part:

Mustafa Akyol, Turkish Daily News, Columnist, Deputy Editor, Turkey;

Adalet Dzhabiev, ex-President, ICB Badr-Forte Bank, Russia;

Alexander Fomenko, Deputy of the State Duma, Russia;

Justo Lacunza-Balda, Rector, Politico Istituto di Studi Arabi e Islamici, Vatican;

Marcello Pera, Senator (former President of the Italian Senate), Italy.

Besides R.S.Khakimov has taken part in work of a seminar The Eurasian silk way: a corridor connecting China with Europe on which also have acted:

Michael Berk, Research Fellow, Canadian Institute of International Affairs (CIIA);

Ron Dennom, President, SNC-Lavalin International;

Andre Juno, Director on Canada and Morocco, the European bank of reconstruction and development;

Vladimir Nikanorov, Adviser of the General Secretary, the Eurasian economic community;
Alexander Lukin, Director, the Center of East Asia researches, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (GIMO (U)).
